TWAS-CUI Fellowships at COMSATS University Islamabad, Pakistan

Applications are now open for the TWAS-CUI Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme and the TWAS-CUI Postgraduate Fellowship Programme. These opportunities support young scientists from developing countries (other than Pakistan) who want to pursue advanced research or a PhD degree in Pakistan. The fellowships cover fields in natural sciences and some social sciences. The application deadline for both programmes is 15 June 2026.

These are fully funded opportunities where CUI provides a monthly stipend to cover living costs such as food, accommodation, and health insurance. There is no application fee. Eligibility Criteria:

  • Eligible Countries You must be a national of a developing country other than Pakistan. For the complete list, Check below.
  • You must not currently live in Pakistan or hold any visa for Pakistan or a developed country.
  • For Postdoc: Hold a PhD degree (obtained within the last five years) and be employed in a developing country.
  • For PhD: Hold an MSc degree with research component and be maximum 35 years old by 31 December of the application year.
  • You need an official Acceptance Letter from CUI before or by the deadline.
  • Provide proof of English proficiency if your previous education was not in English.
  • Show commitment to return to your home country after the fellowship ends.
  • You must not take other assignments during the fellowship period.
