SEAP Fellows 2026 – Fully Remote Fellowship

Applications are now open for the SEAP Fellows 2026 Programme. This is a three-month full-time remote fellowship for early-career human rights professionals in the Asia Pacific region.The programme focuses on statelessness, nationality rights, and legal identity. Selected fellows will help update the Statelessness Encyclopedia Asia Pacific (SEAP).

The fellowship runs from 15 June 2026 to 11 September 2026. Each fellow receives a monthly stipend of AUD 200 to 400 depending on location. There is no application fee. For more BS, MS, PhdPostdoc Positions visit here.

Key Responsibilities:

Fellows will support the NFA research team in updating the Second Edition of SEAP through three main areas:

1. Factchecking and Additional Research

  • Review and factcheck existing SEAP country factsheets
  • Conduct supplementary desk research
  • Verify legal, policy, and statistical information

2. Website and Report Updates

  • Update SEAP content on the website
  • Revise report materials and ensure consistency

3. Citation Integration

  • Add and verify citations across the website
  • Ensure accuracy and source integrity

Work Timeline:

Month 1: Onboarding & Factchecking

  • Orientation and training
  • Training on factchecking methodology, citation systems, and website processes
  • Start factchecking and research on assigned sub-regions

Month 2: Website & Report Updates

  • Update website content
  • Revise reports based on findings
  • Coordinate with the NFA team

Month 3: Citation Updates

  • Integrate and verify citations
  • Final accuracy and consistency checks

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Early-career human rights professionals based in the Asia Pacific region
  • Strong desk research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Background knowledge in human rights, law, public policy, international relations, or related fields
  • Comfortable working remotely and meeting deadlines with limited supervision
